To the 23rd Annual
Supreme Court Preview
Friday & Saturday, September 24 & 25, 2010

The Institute of Bill of Rights Law at William & Mary School of Law 
marks the commencement of the new term of the United States Supreme 
Court each fall with its Supreme Court Preview. Now in its 
23rd  year, the Preview brings together leading Supreme Court 
journalists, advocates, legal scholars, and federal court judges for 
a day and a half to discuss and analyze the Court's upcoming term.

The Supreme Court Preview is nationally recognized for providing 
unique insights into the upcoming term, often from the very advocates 
slated to argue the cases before the Court.  The Preview opens on 
Friday, September 24, 2010 at 6 pm with a Moot Court on one of the 
most visible cases for which the Court has granted certiorari by the 
summer of 2010.

The featured case this year is Schwarzenegger v. Entertainment 
Merchants Association, a First Amendment case exploring whether a 
state law may constitutionally restrict the sale and marketing of 
violent video games.

The 2010 Preview promises to be outstanding event. Confirmed 
participants include current/former federal courts of appeal judges 
and U.S. Solicitors General.  Seventeen   participants have argued 
more than 300 cases before the Supreme Court. The Preview also 
features seasoned Supreme Court journalists from the nation's leading 
newspapers, news magazines, and online sources including The New York 
Times, SCOTUSBlog, The Los Angeles Times, Slate, and many others.

Each paid registrant will receive a 500-page notebook of supporting 
materials about the Court's pending cases, including the federal 
Court of Appeals' decisions edited by our own staff.
