My previous post stands as a general matter, but I pass along something I noticed by happenstance while throwing out old magazines.

My May 21, 2007 issue of the quality journal, "The Nation," has a full-page, full-color illustration by one Lynn Randolph titled "Scenes from Hell."

It literally "demonizes"  Pres. Bush and members of his administration (Cheney and Rumsfeld are recognizable -- others may be Rice, Rove, Gonzales,  etc).
Bush is blood-spangled, riding a "hound of hell" --  others have tails, red skin,  cloven hooves, are impaling and killing innocents, etc.

Obviously designed to be "hip-ironic" references to Brueghel!
