Reliability of Jefferson's "Anas"?

I would be obliged for the replies to this question, because I am somewhat interested in the early republic.? But I am not sure how to assess "reliability," unless it means "factually accurate."? Often, Jefferson--perhaps like any of us as diarist--is full of interpretations and opinions where "factual accuracy" is not a good test.

I would be obliged, as said, to see what others see in the Anas.

Subject: Reliability of Jefferson's "Anas"?

A quick question: I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts or sources on the
reliability -- or lack thereof -- of the collection of journal entries and
recollection that Jefferson compiled and later revised of his time as secretary
of state, often collected as the "Anas."
