Contributing to Delinquency of A Minor

Warren Jeffs was convicted in Utah and will serve time for arranging the
"marriage" of a 14-year-old to a 19-year-old.  Her parents obviously
consented.  
 
But more importantly--  when a woman or girl does not want sex, and the man
persists, it's called rape in every jurisdiction.  So the notion that the
category of "marriage" automatically obviates the sex charges is just
legally misguided.  In the FLDS, it is well-documented that girls beg not to
be "married" to the men to whom they are given.  The subsequent sex is rape.

Right, Marci, and, fortunately, the consent of the victim's parents is not a
defense to rape.
