For those who have access to Hein Online, another easily accessible source
is the Yale Law Journal's tribute issue to Bickel near the end of 1974
(i.e., the 1974-75 volume, not the '73-74 volume) (surprisingly short! --
just one strong encomium by Charles Black), which begins with a picture of
Bickel. A much livelier picture of Bickel can be found, if I recall
correctly, in Laura Kalman's terrific book published last year, Yale Law
School in the Sixties.
