State supreme court reversal rate

	An acquaintance of mine asks:  "Have you seen any updated
research on the reversal rates of state supreme courts?  We're always
hearing about the reversal rates of the circuit courts of appeals, but
never about state supreme courts.  I'm wondering whether there are any
noticeable trends there.  Specifically, is there a 'ninth circuit' among
state supreme courts?  I know the sample size will be a lot smaller, but
over a 5-10 year period there may be enough cases to draw a tentative
