State of the Union

In my view, Sandra Day O'Connor is the most important woman in the 
history of American politics.  The country owes her a lot, despite the 
fact that many of us disagree with some of her decisions.

Congratulations to Justice Alito.  Let's hope he votes to reverse some 
of the decisions in which Justice O'Connor was in the majority (not 
all, but some).
