Social conservatives in 1955
had Rosa Parks arrested. The young Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., 26,
organized a boycott of the Montgomery bus system that developed into
what we now honor as the Civil Rights Movement, a revolution, which was
resisted all the way by social conservatives.

Pardon me for misremembering my history, but I thought Democratic party
officials, serving in state posts of government, had Rosa Parks arrested. This
must be a signal difference, because, as a social conservative, the conduct of
those party flacks and hacks is unrelated to any value underlying social
conservatism with which I am familiar; but its careless indifference to the
human dignity and equal right of African Americans certainly carries the flavor
of today's Democratic Party devotion to careless indifference to the human
dignity and equal right of In Utero Americans.
