Mier's religious views

A quick response to Sandy's historical question: early Christians could "generally" be described as pacifist, or at least leaning toward pacifism, but it is by no means characteristic of all early Christians. Rather, there was a tension of sorts between different views, and so when the "just war" tradition developed (primarily with Ambrose and Augustine) it found rather ready traction.
What bearing it has on the nominee's religion and which questions it's appropriate to ask I'll leave to others for now.
