Update:

Padilla loses 5-4 on jurisdictional (i.e., venue-ish) grounds.

Hamdi wins 8-1.   Hamdi gets a hearing at the least. Four would go further and essentially order release. Strongest opinion for Hamdi is by Scalia! Congress must suspend habeas to do this, he says.


GITMO detainees win 6-3.
