Government condemning speakers

I agree with Eugene's assessment.  As to Judge Noonan's statement (as
reported by Eugene) that "the government may not disapprove of religion by
asserting 'a direct correlation between the plaintiffs' religious beliefs
and the killing of human beings,'" the Bush administration -- indeed,
almost every elected official in the United States -- might be surprised by
this assertion in light of the discussions of terrorism and religious
fundamentalism that have been so prevalent in the past few months.
