Firing of high school teacher for NAMBLA-related political ac tivi ty upheld

You know what this opinion reminds me of?  Some of the MacKinnon/Dworkin
anti-pornography arguments and some arguments for punishing hate speech.  I
think that lurking in this opinion--though not directly expressed--is the
idea that a teacher's active membership in and public defense of NAMBLA
constitutes an injury, a denial of rights, a denial of equality, etc. to the
students--especially since most of them are legally children and, therefore,
comprise a poweless minority.

I'm not taking sides here, since I have yet to resolve the pornography and
hate speech issues in my own mind.  The association just intrigued me.
