A Town Meeting on America's New War

Dear Friends:
The following is relevant, but not 100% in accordance with the suggestion:
The AALS Section on Immigration Law is planning to replace its previously
planned program with a program on new Antiterrorism policies and their
implications for civil liberties within the United States.  (I do mean
"and" -- discussion will proceed from both national security/public order
and civil liberties perspectives.)  The details are being worked out, and
there should be an update in later AALS materials.  The program is
currently scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1:30 (Jan. 5).  The speakers
will be drawn both from inside and outside the section, and a wide
audience will be welcome.
