I agree with Stephen Wermeil on this one.  We received more than the
usual number of calls this year about Chief Justice Rehnquist's
post-Court plans.  (He visits each winter here, to teach a class on the
History of the Court Throughout U.S. History).  All of the rumors the
reporters were seeking to verify with us were incorrect.  Time magazine,
which called first about some of them, nevertheless reported the rumors
in its story on the Court, with a line in the very last paragraph of the
article acknowledging that we had told them "it t'aint so, Joe."
