CNN has an outstanding and comprehensive site (for which I partially forgive
the incompetence of their daily tracking poll and premature calls on
election night) which includes up-to-the-minute Florida recount results,
including by county:

The latest figures based on 66 of 67 counties:  Bush leads by 229 votes.  So
near and yet so far.....

The URL for the Florida recount site was mangled by the e mail or list
software. If you go to www.channel2000.com you can then navigate (with some
patience and with some likelihood of having to try several times) to the
county by county results by going to "Instant Recount Results." The site
apparently is a CBS network site that is reporting numbers provided by WESH
TV, which is a CBS affiliate somewhere in Florida, apparently in Orlando.
Here are the latest results according to that site, showing Bush up by 709
votes with 56 of 67 counties reporting:

Bush 2909176 49% 2909545 +369

Gore 2907451 49% 2908832 +1381

Difference: 709 Votes Counties: 56 of 67



The site also reports that the Gore people are demanding a hand recount in 4
counties.
