Florida Irregularities

Thanks to Adam Winkler and Michael Masinter for their very helpful
additions.  We all want to be careful.

As we prepare for the inevitable legal challenges in Florida courts (and it
is my understanding that at least one has already been filed in Palm
Beach), I would appreciate it very much if Michael (or someone else who
knows Florida election law) to help me/us on at least two issues:

First (the judicial politics question), would a lawsuit on the Palm Beach
issue be filed in a Palm Beach circuit court, and are most of those judges
elected Democrats?  (Relatedly, what's the partisan composition of the
Florida Supreme Court?)

Second (the law question), can anyone provide citations to some relevant
cases in Florida lower/higher courts where similar issues were litigated
(albeit in much less weighty circumstances)?

I'll leave it up to others to decide whether the law question or the
judicial politics question is the more important one.
