Vice-President Clinton?

Has any one noticed that the discussion is a bit bizarre.  No one has stated any good reason why a two term president should not be elected vice-president (here's one, maybe, it's dodge and everyone knows the elected president will resign the day after the inauguration).  The language is admitted unclear.  Why engage in this textual exigesis?  Whatever reasons exist for interpreting a constitution seem to have run out in this case.
