[BruinRotaract] Rotaract Minutes Week #1

Welcome back Rotaractors! Here's what was announced at the first  
meeting of Spring quarter:

--Week #2 TV taping Fundraiser!
   WHERE: Warner Bros. Studios
   WHEN: Tuesday, April 10; ~2:30PM - 6:00PM
   WHY: If we get at least 10 people to go, they will pay Rotaract  
$16/person just to show up and laugh :). Transportation will be  
provided, but spots can fill up  quickly so if you're sure to attend,  
please contact our Fundraising Chair Angelina @ <aellyason at ucla.edu>  
ASAP.

--Week #4 Polio Change Drive!
   WHERE: Bruinwalk
   WHEN: Monday - Wednesday of Week #4; 10AM - 3:00PM
   WHY: Join the global effort to finally rid the world of this  
crippling disease by gathering change from passersby on Bruinwalk. All  
proceeds will go towards purchasing Polio vaccines (only 61 cents!),  
so please help!

--Pet shelter volunteers needed!!
   WHERE: Nearby pet shelter
   WHEN: Saturday, May 5th; 10AM - 1PM
   WHY: Help walk, play with, and feed puppies and kittens at a local  
animal shelter :). Only four spots available! For more information, or  
to check if there are any remaining spots, please contact Ashley @

--Get ready for Relay for Life!!
   WHERE: UCLA Drake Stadium
   WHEN: Saturday/Sunday, May 12th @ noon - May 13th @ noon
   WHY: This 24-hr. team walk/run benefits the American Cancer Society  
:). Team Rotaract will join hundreds of others to raise money to  
participate in this fun and meaningful UCLA event.

Next Meeting:

--Please pay quarterly dues ($5; $10 if this is your first quarter)!!

--T-shirts ($12) still available!

--Upcoming announcements concerning a Rotaract-hosted College Day with  
high school Interact Clubs!
