[Avrora] avroraz - printfUART()

I put the Avrora mailing list in CC as maybe others can also help on

The only functions that you can use are the ones you see in the
AvroraPrint.h. If you want to print a variable + integer you will have
to use both printStr and printInt8.

Hi Rodolfo,

thanks a lot. I have check the CVS you gave, and has used the
AvroraPrint.h file. I browsed the file but could not see the
printfUART() method in it, the closest I guess is printStr which still
cannot serve the purpose I need. Actually I need to print 'a value of a
variable with some string' while running avroraz. As if in C
programming, I can do that by using the printf function such as
'printf("Var1: %i", var1)' where I can print the string 'Var1' together
with the value of 'var1' in one line of statement. If I use
'printInt8(var1)' as in AvroraPrint.h, I can just watch the value of
'var1' while running avroraz simulation.

Thus, if printfUART() cannot serve this needs, do you have any idea of
other function in avroraz (AvroraPrint.h) can I use?

thanks again

Hi Yusnaidi,

The avroraZ repository is not being maintained any more as I included
all its features in the main Avrora repository.

Please check out from http://avrora.cvs.sourceforge.net/avrora/ and use
the AvroraPrint.h file I included there for printing.

If you are still having issues, let me know and put the Avrora list in

Also search the Avrora mailing list archives as it might be of help:

Subject: avroraz - printfUART()

Hi Rodolfo,

I got an error using the printfUART() of avroraZ in TinyOS2.

This is the command I wrote in the TinyOS nesC file:

printfUART("\n abcd %i %x",1,0x1234);

and these are the errror messages I got after issuing make micaz in

AppC.nc:213: implicit declaration of function `printfUART'
/opt/tinyos-2.x/tos/chips/cc2420/lpl/DummyLplC.nc:39:2: warning:
make: *** [exe0] Error 1

I have included the AvroraPrint.h file in the tinyos file as well...

Any advice? Please help me...
