[Avrora] Call for benchmarks

Hello everyone,

I have been talking to the DaCapo group about getting Avrora included  
as a pure-Java benchmark for VM performance in the next release of the  
DaCapo benchmarks. Avrora has a number of interesting properties  
(other than being my brainchild :-)) that make it a unique, real-world  
testcase to study and improve Java VM performance.

The trouble is, being a simulator, Avrora's dynamic behavior can vary  
a huge amount depending on the input program(s), the communication  
characteristics, and the instrumentation attached.

I would like your help in identifying a series of input programs and  
simulation scenarios that stress Avrora, particularly in highly multi- 
threaded execution, such as a large sensor network simulation.

What kinds of apps are you guys running that do non-trivial  
communication and computation? Having been out of the WSN community  
for a while, I am little behind. What TinyOS example apps are good  
showcases (and also work in Avrora)?
