The radio model does not take into account the power. It follows a simple radius model where 15meters is the maximum distance as default. There is plan to port the avroraz radio model to the main branch but i did not have time to do it yet.

Subject: [Avrora] set power
I tried to change the power of transmission of CC2420
In RadioCountToLedsAppC.nc I added in implementation: components
CC2420PacketC; and App.CC2420Packet -> CC2420PacketC;
In RadioCountToLedsC.nc I added: call C2420Packet.setPower(&packet, VAR);
// VAR value between 1 and 31.
In AVRORA: avrora -platform=micaz -simulation=sensor-network -seconds=2
-stagger-start=1000000 -nodecount=2 -report-seconds=true
-seconds-precision=11 topology=grid.top RadioCountToLeds.od
grid.top: node0 0 0 0 and node1 15 0 0
The program runs OK, If I change the VAR I get the same result, but if I
change the distance between the nodes to 16 or more, the messages are not
delivery irrespective of the value of VAR, I changed the power but it's not
work. why? Can avrora support different levels of power when it is run? or
is it static for all simulations?
thank you so much.
Regards
