About Publicsociologists	English (USA)
The Public Sociology working group helps members balance the demands of our careers in Sociology with our political commitments. We want our scholarship to contribute to the debates and struggles of the society we live in. Through meetings, speakers, and strong black coffee, we work towards two goals. First, we intensely critique each other's work to promote the highest level of intellectual rigor. Second, we push each other to stay accountable to our goal of scholarship with transformative potential. Our group is a resource for each of us to draw on as we navigate intellectual and political praxis while advancing in the department and in the discipline. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members.
