Flourish is a free, monthly, electronic newsletter to encourage and connect graduate student, faculty, and independent scholarly writers. Never more than two pages once a month, it tells the stories of those who are surviving and even thriving as writers in academia. Some of the topics addressed are developing good writing habits, sending essays to journals for submission, organizing research material, working with editors and advisors, persevering on books or dissertations, and using citation and presentation software. Flourish is written and produced by Wendy Belcher, author, editor, and lecturer. Using Flourish
To post a message to all the list members, send email to flourish@lists.ucla.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Flourish
Subscribe to Flourish by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
